Gentle Memory Reprocessing Group in New York and Utah
A 6-week group using the Predictive Processing Flash Technique for adults ready to gently reprocess past memories alongside supportive peers.
Online · New York & Utah | Tuesdays · 7-8:30 PM ET
Your mind has been trying to move forward. This group helps you get there.
You have earlier memories that bother you. You know you need to work through them, but it feels too scary and overwhelming. So you've been avoiding them. Many people believe that working through painful earlier memories has to be difficult and distressing. It doesn't have to be.
If fear has been holding you back from doing this work, this group is designed to keep you feeling safe throughout the process. Over time, the weight you carry around a memory, the heaviness, the reactivity, the sense that it is still with you, begins to lift. The past begins to feel more like the past.
You are not witnessed in your pain.
YOU ARE ACCOMPANIED IN YOUR HEALING.

ABOUT THIS GROUP
Healing doesn't have to happen alone
This group brings together a small number of adults who are ready to work through a list of earlier memories they've been carrying. In this group, you will focus on one memory at a time to rewire your nervous system. You won't be asked to share the details of your memories with the group. The work happens internally, at your own pace while you stay connected to your group members and have support from me. At the end of each group, you are free to share as much or as little as you would like with your group members about your experiences, insight, or challenges. What would be helpful for your group members is not always how much you share, but your willingness to show up.
This group is intentionally kept to just five participants, creating an intimate environment over six structured weeks where you get personalized attention and meaningful connection.
How Predictive Processing Flash Works.
The Predictive Processing Flash Technique is a research-supported therapeutic approach for reducing the disturbance connected to earlier distressing memories. Instead of immersive exposure to what happened, you'll engage in positive focuses while briefly and repeatedly shifting attention to the memory in the background. Your mind and body do the work without you having to sit inside the memory itself.
It's gentle. It doesn't ask you to relive what happened. You can process distressing memories with minimal discomfort, without being overwhelmed by them.
This is not a processing group or support group in the traditional sense. It is a reprocessing group of earlier life experiences, designed to help your body and nervous system separate the past from the present moment. That's a meaningful difference.
THE SIX SESSIONS
-
40-55 Minutes.
Understanding How the Past Impacts the Present & Identifying What to Work On.
We explore how earlier experiences shape the way you feel and respond today — and what it actually looks like to work through them. You'll identify the specific memories or experiences you want to focus on, and we'll talk through what the process will feel like for you.
-
40-55 Minutes
Finding Your Calm & Building Your Self-Care Toolkit.
We find a place of calm you can return to whenever you need it — during sessions and in your everyday life. You'll also build a personal set of self-care strategies to support yourself between sessions, so you feel grounded and resourced throughout the six weeks.
-
55 Minutes
Active Reprocessing
These are the core sessions. Using the Flash protocol, we work through the memories on your list — one at a time, at a pace that is structured and intentional. You remain oriented to the present throughout. The work happens internally, not through narration.
-
55 Minutes
Reflection & Closing
We take stock of what shifted — in how the memories feel, in how you carry them, in how you relate to yourself. This session creates space to recognize what changed and to identify what, if anything, you want to continue working on after the group ends.

FAQS
COMMON QUESTIONS
-
Processing trauma or difficult memories doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. In this group, you can work through past experiences safely and at a manageable pace, allowing your mind and body to finally leave the past behind and find relief.
-
A regular support group focuses on discussing your memories and sharing stories with your peers.
In this group, we use the Flash Technique to process memories internally and privately. This approach allows you to resolve painful or traumatic memories without feeling overwhelmed. You will focus on positive activities while your brain processes the memory quietly in the background.
You will not be asked to speak about the details of your memories, and the focus is on rewiring your nervous system's response rather than analyzing past events.
-
Yes, having an individual therapist to work with between sessions is strongly encouraged. While group sessions focus specifically on gentle memory reprocessing, your individual therapist provides a dedicated space for any broader reflections or personal processing that surfaces between group meetings.
If you don't currently have a primary therapist, we can discuss this during your screening call.
-
The first step is a 20-minute screening call.
This is to determine whether this group is the right fit for you.
-
Before joining the group, each participant completes a 20 minute screening call with me.
This is a chance for us to talk through what you're hoping to work through, and whether this group is the right container for that work right now.
Fit matters — for you and for the group as a whole. A small group works because the people in it are ready for the same kind of focused, intentional work. The screening call is how we make sure of that.
If it's a good fit, we'll confirm your spot and get you oriented before the first session begins.
