THE METHOD

Your brain is already trying to move forward. This group helps you get there.

Predictive Processing Flash, sometimes called the Flash Technique, is a gentle, less activating approach to process past memories.

Many people believe that working through painful earlier memories has to be difficult and distressing. It doesn't have to be. Predictive Processing Flash is an advanced approach that allows you to process highly distressing memories with minimal discomfort — making it possible to do the work without feeling overwhelmed by it.

This group is especially well-suited for people who are ready to work through earlier memories but feel worried, anxious, or scared about bringing them up. If fear has been holding you back from doing this work, this approach offers a way in — one that is structured, gentle, and designed to keep you feeling safe throughout.

Rather than asking you to re-live a memory in detail, Flash works by gently shifting your attention while the memory processes in the background. Over time, the weight you carry around a memory — the heaviness, the reactivity, the sense that it is still with you — begins to lift. The past begins to feel more like the past.

THE SIX SESSIONS

SESSION 1

40-55 Minutes

Understanding How the Past Impacts the Present & Identifying What to Work On

We explore how earlier experiences shape the way you feel and respond today — and what it actually looks like to work through them. You'll identify the specific memories or experiences you want to focus on, and we'll talk through what the process will feel like for you.

SESSION 2

40-55 Minutes

Finding Your Calm & Building Your Self-Care Toolkit

We find a place of calm you can return to whenever you need it — during sessions and in your everyday life. You'll also build a personal set of self-care strategies to support yourself between sessions, so you feel grounded and resourced throughout the six weeks.

SESSION 6

55 Minutes

Reflection and Closing

We take stock of what shifted — in how the memories feel, in how you carry them, in how you relate to yourself. This session creates space to recognize what changed and to identify what, if anything, you want to continue working on after the group ends.

SESSION 3-5

55 Minutes each

Active Reprocessing

These are the core sessions. Using the Flash protocol, we work through the memories on your list — one at a time, at a pace that is structured and intentional. You remain oriented to the present throughout. The work happens internally, not through narration.

WHO THIS GROUP IS FOR

This group may be right for you if —

  • You have a list of specific memories, experiences, or memory clusters you want to work through

  • You've done enough work to understand your patterns — and are ready to move through what's underneath them

  • You want to reprocess difficult earlier experiences without having to talk about them in detail

  • You find meaning in healing alongside others — in knowing you are not the only one doing this kind of work

  • You're looking for a structured, focused format that holds you accountable over time

  • You want to make progress on multiple memories over a sustained, intentional period

  • You are 18 or older

A note on individual support. Participants are strongly encouraged to have an individual therapist to work with between sessions. Reprocessing can surface feelings and thoughts that didn't have room to land during group — having a dedicated space to bring those is part of what makes this work safe and sustainable. If you don't currently have a primary therapist, we can discuss this during your screening call.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

The Screening Call —
making sure this is the right fit.

Before joining the group, each participant completes a free 30-minute screening call with me. This is a chance for us to talk through where you are, what you're hoping to work through, and whether this group is the right container for that work right now.

Fit matters — for you and for the group as a whole. A small group works because the people in it are ready for the same kind of focused, intentional work. The screening call is how we make sure of that.

If it's a good fit, we'll confirm your spot and get you oriented before the first session begins.
